How to Set Up Microsoft Authenticator for Your Microsoft 365 Account
1. Start Setup. When prompted, click Next to begin.
When a window prompts, click Next to continue.
2. Scan the QR Code. A QR code will appear on your screen.
3. Set Up the App.
Open the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone.
If you don’t have it, download and install it from your app store.
Tap Add Account and select Work or School Account.
Use your phone to scan the QR code.
4. Verify Setup. Enter the code shown in your app to complete the setup.
Note: You might be prompted to input a secondary recovery method/option. Proceed with which one you prefer (either email or phone number.).
Future logins should require either a confirmation by number code or a one-time pin. All of this is visible on your Microsoft Authenticator App.
